Did you know that there is now a gay-friendly version of the Bible? Amazing! A group of anonymous editors has put out a version of the Bible called “The Queen James Bible.” In this version, passages that relate to the sin of homosexuality are added to or reworded in such a way as to remove the implication of sin. This is done with no regard for the original text at all. The only aim of the version is to justify homosexuality by removing any sinful connotation associated with it and, thus, set forth a gay-friendly translation.

Here is an example of what they do with the passages in the Bible that condemn homosexuality.

Leviticus 20:13 (ESV)
13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

This, of course, is a clear condemnation of homosexual activity. Now notice how the same passage is translated in the newly printed Queen James Version:

“If a man also lie with mankind in the temple of Molech, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

Do you see how this addition to the original text changes the meaning of the passage? Now, according to this perverted version, it is only wrong for a man to lie with another man when it is done in the temple of Molech, that is, as an act of idolatry in the worship of a false deity. Such a conclusion is not supported by the text or the context, but it does make for a gay-friendly translation. The problem is such additions to the Word of God will surely be met with the condemnation of God, for He warns man not to add to His Word.

Deuteronomy 4:2 (ESV)
2 You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you.

Proverbs 30:6 (ESV)
6 Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

Revelation 22:18-19 (ESV)
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

The editors of this publication do not seem to care about this scriptural fact, but they should, as well as anyone else who thinks it is okay to add to the Bible just to cater to a man-made agenda.

The true feelings of the editors of this version of the Bible come to the surface by a note that can be found on their website, QueenJamesBible.com.

“The Queen James Bible resolves any homophobic interpretations of the Bible, but the Bible is still filled with inequality and even contradiction that we have not addressed. No Bible is perfect, including this one. We wanted to make a book filled with the word of God that nobody could use to incorrectly condemn God’s LGBT children, and we succeeded.”

This speaks for itself. Any group of people that believe that the Bible is filled with INEQUALITY and CONTRADICTIONS is not fit to translate any part or portion of the sacred text.

This group is not the first to add to the Word of God. After all, the religious world has accepted perverted translations like the Living Bible which adds “alone” to passages that speak of faith. However, this particular translation sadly reflects the society in which we now live. Many will not quit until homosexuality is viewed as a normal and natural behavior. Nevertheless, the Bible will always condemn homosexuality, regardless of perverted passages and political power.

Romans 1:24-27 (ESV)
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1 Corinthians 6:9 (ESV)
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality.
